SOUTHFIELD, MI — Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Michigan, Inc. celebrated the graduation of 13 newly certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) on Thursday, April 23rd at 6 p.m. at its Southfield Station located at 25250 W. Eight Mile Road.
This graduation reflects Superior Ambulance’s ongoing effort to meet Michigan’s growing demand for skilled emergency responders by removing common barriers to training.
“This program reflects our commitment to strengthening the EMS workforce, creating real opportunity for individuals to make a difference” said Kim Godden, Vice President of Superior Ambulance. “Each graduate is one step closer to a stronger, safer and more responsive emergency care system for our communities.”

Michigan State Representatives Jason Hoskins (D-18) and Stephanie Young (D-16) were in attendance. Rep. Hoskins emphasized the overall impact of programs like this that benefit the development of the workforce.
“Michigan is facing a real need for trained emergency responders, and programs like this are helping meet that moment,” Rep. Hoskins said. “These graduates are stepping into high-demand roles that directly impact response times and patient care, strengthening public safety in communities across our state.”
EMS agencies across the region continue to face staffing shortages, making Superior Ambulance’s training efforts critical to the broader emergency response system. By investing in education and workforce development, the organization is strengthening service reliability while creating sustainable, long-term career pathways.
